Berocca Twist 'N' Go Wins 2011 Beverage Product of the Year Award

Berocca® Twist 'N' Go, designed and developed by Invetech for Bayer Australia, has been awarded the 2011 Beverage Product of the Year. The award is the only consumer product award that rewards innovation and is voted on by consumers.

A revolution in drink packaging, Twist 'N' Go uses a world-first design to keep the Berocca tablet sealed in foil and stored in the lid. When twisted, the tablet is released into purified water to deliver the healthy energy from Berocca Performance.

Established 25 years ago in France, Product of the Year is the world's largest consumer-voted award for product quality and innovation. Now recognised in over 28 countries, the Product of the Year seal helps give consumers a shortcut to the very best new products on the market.

Bayer engaged Invetech to help develop Twist 'N' Go and its manufacturing system. Invetech developed core technology for Bayer by incorporating a patented cutting mechanism that enabled them to realise their breakthrough concept. Ensuring the integrity of the Berocca® Performance tablet and the final product, was paramount throughout its development, and a custom-designed high volume manufacturing system was designed and built the to comply with the highest regulatory requirements including pharmaceutical grade manufacturing and packaging.

Winner of the 2010 Silver Colorpak Innovation Packaging Award and nominated for international design awards, Berocca® Twist 'N' Go allows consumers on-the-run to enjoy a healthy energy boost of Berocca, chilled from fridges in convenience stores and petrol stations.
