Our Ingenuity

We played a key role in helping design and develop a first of kind, compact disc storage and management system for Opdicom.

Our client had developed excellent business software to manage CD/DVD libraries. What they requested of us was a highly reliable, low-cost product compatible with their software and capable of rapidly accessing any one of 100 CDs stored in each unit.

The device we developed, Disc Stakka, met these requirements and more. Units could be stacked up to five high (with automatic interconnection) and are controlled and powered via a single USB connection. Scalability to enable storage of more than 60,000 discs is now possible.

Our team of industrial designers, mechanical engineers, electronics engineers and firmware designers delivered concepts and a functioning prototype within 90 days, and a new product into contract manufacture in 5 months.
