Enttex: P100 – Portable Positive Pressure Pulse
Therapy Device
Our client, a world-renowned Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, conducted significant research into the treatment of inner-ear conditions using positive pressure pulse therapy. Based on their findings, they approached Invetech to help develop a new product concept - a small, hand operated device that was portable and discrete.
Our Ingenuity
We worked closely with our client to design and develop a first-of-type, portable device to provide relief for Ménières disease, a disorder of the inner ear characterized by episodes of dizziness and tinnitus.
The P100 is a simple, lightweight, yet clever device delivering positive pressure pulse therapy in a convenient hand-held product. It competes against large, expensive electronic equipment and enables Ménières sufferers greater independence than ever before and the freedom of discreet treatment at a time of their choosing.
Our team designed the P100 with usability top-of-mind to enable users to lead a more normal life. Smaller than a mobile phone, the P100's slim design allows the user to carry it in a pocket or bag and apply discreet treatment whenever the need arises. Its wrap-around pressure tube and earpiece storage, with a smooth protective cover, provides a safe and attractive alternative to current bulky therapy units.
Most importantly, the device was designed and engineered to ensure only the correct amount of pressure is delivered to the inner ear, preventing negative pressure excursions and overpressure conditions.
Your Advantage
Invetech's integrated science, engineering and design expertise, together with a focus design for manufacture and cost of goods, have created a unique product that has enabled our client to disrupt a previously static market with a revolutionary product.
